Migration of IT systems for NHS Trust.
The aim of the project was to separate the systems of seven NHS trusts, in parallel, following the splitting up of the regional health authorities. Asked, by a senior Capgemini project managers, to take over the planning control of the project as it was three months behind schedule with only six months to run. The project was very complex and split across a number of locations.Implementation of Customer Bill and supply management system for regional electricity company.
Originally responsible for planning and tracking the time of the 50 strong Data Migration team, but was subsequently asked by the client to join the six man planning team for the whole project, which consisted of in excess of 200 people and 10 cross linked project plans with many resources assigned to multiple plans, and implement new processes to assist successful delivery. Originally asked by a colleague to produce project plans and set up the necessary tracking and reporting processes for a Y2K compliancy and upgrade project, this was successfully completed and handed over to the project manager. Subsequently asked, by the overall client programme manager, to rejoin the programme and implement and manage plans and tracking processes for a number of other work streams, that had slipped behind schedule and would over run by up to four months.Large London Borough Council - Full IT technology replacement project for 4500 users.
Responsible for tracking and forecasting expenditure of £17m budget, and resource time across twenty work streams in multiply locations. Preparation of monthly financial and progress reports and presentation to the programme director in a timely manner. Various management roles as part of a major bid team includingManaged the preparation, consolidation and quality control of a 2000 page proposal for an international Telecoms company, including management of sub-contract resources in Germany.
Produced project plans and time managed production of bid material, for a major Government department. Also managed the production of ten transition plans and costing sheets including cross company charging, which would successfully transfer 3500 existing support staff and all hardware and software support to Capgemini.
